14th April, 1931 Proclamation of 2nd Republic. Government of the Republican Party

 

Macià proclaims the Catalan Republic which became the Generalitat of Catalonia  
August,1931   Ratification of "Estatut of Núria"  
November, 1933 The right wings wins the elections The right wing also wins in Catalonia The conservative party wins in Pujalt
6th October, 1934 The republican Party interrupts the Catalan Statute Lluís Companys proclaims the Catalan government in the republic  
7th October, 1934   Lluís Companys is imprisoned and the left wings parties are repressed  
16th February, 1936 The left wins the elections The left wing wins the elections The right wing wins
17th-18th July, 1936 Military revolt Great social and political expectation  
19th July, 1936   Barcelona revolts but it is suffocated Everything is calm during those days
July, 1936 - 2nd fortnight Settlement of the fronts The militiamen leave and there is political and military reprimand "Sant Andreu"  church is burnt down an the "Puríssima Concepció" altarpiece is destroyed

3rd April, 1938 Franco's Army occupies Lleida A part of the Catalan territory is the hand of subversives The first soldiers arrived in April
5rd April, 1938   Pro-Franco supporters abolish the Catalan Satatute The building Works of the base start
26th July, 1938 Republican offensive in the River Ebre It starts the Ebro battle The base is fully working and it is an important piece in the development of the Ebro Battle
15th November, 1938 The international Brigades leave    
16th November, 1938 The battle of Ebro ends The republican troops withdraw on the Ebro left river bank The base camp is still in full activity
23rd December, 1938 Pro-Franco offensive in Catalonia The Popular Army attempts a dramatic defence Christmas festivals are prepared in the base camp. The children of Pujalt participate on the event.
15th January, 1939   The offensive in Catalonia goes on The base is evacuated. Franco's troops are few kilometres away. The republican soldiers take down the camp and set fire to the living quarters. Horses, mules, and carriages are confiscated.
20 January, 1939   Popular Army can't manage to stop the Franco's Army Franco's troops arrive in Pujalt
26th January, 1939   Franco's troops take Barcelona with no opposition  
10th February, 1939 Franco's Headquarters considers the war is over in Catalonia Franco's troops control the French border
